80 participants, an adventurous program, and a country that captures your heart from the very first moment. In November 2024, I set foot on the African continent for the first time. South Africa made me laugh, marvel, and fall silent in awe. From an aperitif on the iconic Table Mountain to thrilling safaris and wine tastings in Franschhoek—this journey was a chain of unforgettable moments. And the best part? The connection with the group and the satisfaction of giving them an experience they will never forget.
The Adventure Begins at the Airport. Excited faces and suitcases that always seem just a little too heavy (and who can blame them?)—that’s how it all starts at the airport. At first, it’s an overwhelming blur of names and faces, but after a few days of shared experiences, laughter, and travel, a sense of familiarity grows, making the group bond even stronger. By the end of the trip, you know most of the group—and they know you. That makes the farewell all the more heartfelt.
A Dive into Cape Town’s History
Cape Town welcomed us with open arms and glorious sunshine. No time to ease into things—the participants were immediately immersed in South Africa’s rich and, at times, confronting history. It’s striking how a city can tell so many stories, and you could see the impact it had on the group right away.

Cycling, Tasting, and Indulging in Franschhoek
After the adrenaline rush of Cape Town, we made our way to Franschhoek, where the pace slowed, but the enjoyment remained just as intense. We explored the vineyards on e-bikes—perfect for maintaining a sporty vibe without arriving breathless at the tastings. From crisp white wines to bold reds, it was a true feast for the senses. Santé!

On Safari: The Search for the Big Five
A trip to South Africa wouldn’t be complete without a safari. We headed to lodges north of Johannesburg, where no fewer than four game drives were planned. “Four? Isn’t that a bit much?” you might wonder. But a safari never gets boring. Each drive is different. The thrill of spotting wildlife, the silence just before someone whispers, “There!”—it’s pure magic. We managed to check off a few members of the famous Big Five. And no, I will never forget that herd of giraffes strolling right past our jeep.

Surprises You Won’t Forget
Anyone who thinks an incentive trip is predictable is mistaken. We had a few surprises in store that left the participants (and honestly, me too) speechless. How about an exclusive aperitif on the legendary Table Mountain? As the sun slowly set, bathing the city below in golden light, we raised our glasses to life. Magical.
And then there was the convoy of sidecars! Helmets on, wind in our hair (or what’s left of it), and off we went along the breathtaking Chapman’s Peak Drive. Curve after curve, we were treated to postcard-perfect views. Photogenic? Absolutely. Unforgettable? Without a doubt.
The farewell dinner was a fairytale in itself: deep in the bush, beneath a sky filled with stars, surrounded by the sounds of the African wilderness. Rangers discreetly stood guard—you never know who might unexpectedly join the table. No lions at dinner, but an evening forever etched in memory.
A Journey with a Warm Ending
It was an unforgettable trip filled with special moments and experiences, but what truly lingers are the kind words and messages received afterward. Seeing how much the participants enjoyed every moment makes it all worthwhile.
Africa has stolen my heart. This first encounter with the continent was one to cherish. Who knows what the next adventure will bring?
